I spend most of my time getting ready in the bathroom, whether it’s doing my makeup or hair, a good mirror is a necessity.

So the bigger the better! For smaller rooms, it gives the illusion that there is additional room and it reflects light, making the room look larger than it really is.

SMART STORAGE

Bathroom storage will be an enormous help when it comes to keeping your bathroom clean and clear. So the storage has to be smart and hidden away. If possible, have some storage built into the walls.

Keep as much things as possible off of the countertops by using deep drawers to keep all of your everyday products tucked neatly away.

Use as much wall space as you can. Hanging baskets or floating shelves are a great way to store things you use everyday, they don't take up much space and they look stylish at the same time.

VANITY SIZE

I know how convenient a vanity is, among other things, you have a resting place for your everyday products. When you have a small space though, a large vanity is just not wise.

If you can, make the vanity small to fit the size of the bathroom. A pedestal sink is even better because it takes up little space but you will have to get creative with the storage. A smaller vanity can still store everything you need and it will all be hidden. You can create many different sections in your individual drawers. This way you will have a specific place for all of your things.

DOORS (SLIDING/BIFOLD)

You can also save some space by using different options for your bathroom doors. Some bathroom doors tend to swing inwards and because of this, it can take up some much needed space.

Using bifold doors or a sliding track door can solve this issue. That way you still have privacy and space!!! If you have no choice but to use a swing door, then make the most of it by using the space behind the door as storage. Click here for more information on storage solutions.

Just remember that keeping a clear and clean bathroom, especially a small one, is key. You have to get rid of the clutter and keep all of your storage hidden if possible. Light, paint, tiles and cabinetry help with the appearance, so choose wisely and your bathroom will be fit for a queen!
